Words of Inspiration

Ideas, music, and images to lift Spirits in trying times

“There’s a crack, a crack in everything – that’s how the light gets in”
Leonard Cohen

Ring the bells that still can ring
Forget your perfect offering
There is a crack, a crack in everything
That’s how the light gets in
That’s how the light gets in
That’s how the light gets in.

“Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around.”  Leo Buscaglia.

“Tyranny, like hell, is not easily conquered;  yet we have this consolation with us, that the harder the conflict, the more glorious the triumph.”  Thomas Paine, The American Crisis.

Escaping the chaos, and finding a path to peace ...

David Icke

Since 1990, David Icke (born 1952) has been writing books warning of events to come.  He has faced decades of ridicule and abuse – only to be proven, in the end, to be stunningly accurate.  And correct.

His books have been international bestsellers, appealing to a receptive audience that came to suspect their world was somehow ‘not quite right‘ but couldn’t quite figure out exactly how and why.

Who are we?  We are Infinite Awareness, Infinite Spirit, and the heart is our connection to this true ‘I’.  Try it for a while and see where it goes.  The heart is where our Infinite Self resides;  it is where we find wisdom that the head alone is denied in its perspective-deleted bewilderment.  Focus on that heart centre as you.  Everything else is detail and illusion.

‘Hello, nice to meet you, who are you?’  I am my heart.  I am the Spirit that is my heart.  When you face a stressful or fearful situation and your head and belly kick off – move your attention to the heart.  Feel your mental and emotional reactions being absorbed into the heart and transmuted into wisdom.

Your heart will give you the expanded perspective to see what matters and what doesn’t and it usually doesn’t.  If it does, your heart will provide the wisdom to respond with balance and integrity.

Heart-centred people don’t road rage, scream and shout, or fear life itself as so many humans do.  In the heart you find the calmness of love and wisdom in the midst of even the most schismatic madness.

An open heart changes how we see and experience the ‘world’ and calms the waters of fear.  There is nothing to fear when you are eternity.  The vibrational chaos of mind and emotion is transmuted into calmness and peace in the land of love where wisdom reigns.

Love and wisdom are also transmuted into action where that is necessary.  The heart will never shirk from what needs to be done.

The head thinks, but the heart knows.

Finding simplicity behind the seeming complexity ..

Morley Robbins / Root Cause Protocol

Morley Robbins, author, medical researcher, wellness coach, nutritional counselor, is the creator and founder of The Root Cause Protocol.  His life’s mission is to ‘re-define, re-design, and re-direct’ healing away from the conventional medical paradigm of treating symptoms, and instead, identify and explain the root cause(s) of our physical and emotional ailments.

He has devoted decades to researching how the complex interactions of copper, magnesium, iron, and ceruloplasmin create the cellular energy critical for our health and vitality.  He presents solid medical and scientific evidence to show how just a few mineral deficiencies and imbalances contribute to nearly all major health and metabolic issues.

Misled and Misfed

“I’ve spent over a decade of my life now unraveling the story of magnesium, copper, iron, and ceruloplasmin and how they are designed by nature to interact to maintain our health, as well as what happens when these interactions are interfered with, primarily as a result of following the accepted, yet highly flawed health recommendations we are all too familiar with.”

“At best, these recommendations are the result of ongoing human errors on the part of the medical profession, government health agencies, commercial farming and food manufacturing industries, dieticians and most nutritionists, and even proponents of nutritional supplements.  At worst, they may be due to a more nefarious agenda, one designed to prevent us from achieving the optimal health and abundant energy we all deserve.  Overall, I’ve come to recognize that it’s the first factor – lack of curiosity and human error – that is mostly responsible for the health care crisis our nation and other nations face.  And getting – and staying – angry about it serves little purpose, beyond triggering the body’s stress response, which in turn can rapidly deplete its mineral stores, especially its magnesium status.  Still, becoming aware of the ways in which we as a populace have been misled and misfed, whether intentionally or not, is vitally important if we are to find our way back to the truth.”

The Relentless Contrasts of Life
August 2025

The incredible beauty and phenomenal miracles
of our remarkable world,
Contrasted with inhumanity and heartlessness which
are being unfurled!

It knocks me off my socks to witness profound examples
of love and generosity,
Then watch and read about despicable scenarios depicting
severe monstrosity!

Can you imagine acceptance and compassion shown
when we dissent,
To bypass differences yet engage with benevolence,
as was meant?

Let’s not make this opportunity a rarity in the
New Golden Age!
And let’s endeavour to work towards such a goal,
which is truly sage!

The upliftment we all feel when judgment is replaced
with kindness,
We become clothed in a wonderful and delicious
mantle of shimmering brightness!

Do you know what optimism, joy, love and hope
can do for the heart?
We’d be sent on an amazing trajectory to heal the world –
just for a start!

Let peace, equanimity, gladness and love
be kindled within us!
Our example will touch countless lives to elevate and inspire –
just for a start!

Merging Science with Spirituality ...

Walter and Lao Russell

In a series of 12 monthly lessons, Walter Russell (1871 – 1963) and his wife Lao Russell (1904 – 1988)  presented their beliefs about God, the relationship between God and his universe, the physical structure of the material universe, and the processes why which God created this universe.  This is both a simple yet complex creative work, presenting knowledge in a most unique way of thinking.  The Russells devoted their lives to spreading their truths of the physical universe and love.

“Life has many facets.  In order to control our lives, we must become aware of the CAUSE of all things.”  Throughout these lessons, we have endeavored to give you the basic knowledge of God’s ways and processes so that you may become completely aware of the God-Light which centers you and thus know your ONENESS with our Creator and with all of His Creation.  Until men attain this understanding, they will continue to create situations which lead to personal tragedies for themselves and to wars between nations.”

“Love is all there isTo understand the meaning of love is man’s eternal lesson.”

“The human race has reached the stage where love put into practice is the only hope for human survival.  That is why you must now extend what you have learned to others through your way of life — in your home and in your social and business contacts.”

“Just as a tree obtains its strength from its invisible roots, so does man obtain his strength from his invisible spiritual Self.  That is why all through these lessons we have endeavored to teach you WHO YOU ARE and WHAT YOU ARE and to aid you in unfolding your desire to fulfill YOUR PURPOSE ON EARTH.”

“Some day — perhaps some far distant day — man will comprehend this Divine Message from God.  We pray that we may live to see it accepted in all its fullness.”

Man's Search for Meaning ...

Viktor Frankl

Viktor Emil Frankl (March 26, 1905 – September 2, 1997) was an Austrian psychiatrist and Holocaust survivor who founded a school of psychotherapy called ‘logotherapy’ that describes the search for a life’s meaning as the primary motivating force of all human beings.

Viktor Frankl published 39 books.  His best-known autobiography, ‘Man’s Search for Meaning‘, was based on his experiences in various Nazi concentration camps.

Frankl viewed logotherapy as a way to enhance existing therapies by emphasizing the “meaning-dimension” or spiritual dimension of human beings. Three philosophical and psychological concepts make up Frankl’s logotherapy: freedom of will, will to meaning, and meaning of life (Batthyany, 2019).

Freedom of will asserts that humans are free to decide and can take a stance toward both internal and external conditions. Freedom in this context is defined as a space to shape one’s own life within limits of specific possibilities. It provides the client with room for autonomy in the face of somatic or psychological illness. In essence, we are free to choose our responses no matter our circumstances.

Will to meaning states that humans are free to achieve goals and purposes in life. Frustration, aggression, addiction, depression, and suicidality arise when individuals cannot realize their “will to meaning.” As humans, our primary motive is to search for meaning or purpose in our lives. We are capable of surpassing pleasure and supporting pain for a meaningful cause.

Meaning in life is based on the idea that meaning is an objective reality rather than merely an illusion or personal perception. Humans have both freedom and responsibility to bring forth their best possible selves by realizing the meaning of the moment in every situation.

Can we find meaning under all circumstances, even unavoidable suffering? We can discover meaning in life through creative clues, experiential values, and attitudinal values (Lewis, 2011).

“If we understood the power of our thoughts, we would guard them more closely. If we understood the awesome power of our words, we would prefer silence to almost anything negative. In our thoughts and words, we create our own weaknesses and our own strengths.” Betty Eadie

“The world is full of poetry.  The air is living with its spirit;  and the waves dance to the music of its melodies and sparkle in its brightness.”  James Gates Percival.

Capturing the beauty and drama of life

Robert Frost

Robert Frost (1874 – 1963) was a much-celebrated American poet, exploring social and philosophical themes using settings from rural life and landscapes.  For his creative brilliance, he was awarded four Pulitzer Prizes for Poetry, a Congressional Gold Medal in 1960, and named Poet Laureate of Vermont.

The Road Not Taken

Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;

Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim,
Because it was grassy and wanted wear;
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same,

And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way,
I doubted if I should ever come back.

I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I—
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.
